Globe Midwest/Adjusters International was proud to participate as a “Literacy Champion” sponsor for the Beyond Basics spring gala, Coming Together for Children which was held at the Detroit Athletic Club on June 23rd, 2021. Beyond Basics is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting literacy in the Detroit area.

The firm was represented by SVP, Stuart Dorf, JD and CEO, Ethan Gross, JD who also serves as Chairman of the nonprofit. Four people were honored at the event. Stuart Dow was named Literacy Chair; Curtis Blackwell II, President of the Sound Mind Sound Body Foundation, was named Partner of the Year; Carolynn Lynn was named Volunteer of the Year; and Jim Bauters, partner at UHY LLP was selected for the “Whatever it Takes,” award. The event raised over $250,000.
